I have always been driven by moving things forward. Ideas are great, but without action, they are fantasy said Edison and Einstein and a Japanese proverb that says, “Vision without action is a daydream.” In the pursuit of progress, you quickly identify people who have a bias for action and those who are better at signalling progress than actually doing the work.
I really believe that knowledge can get in the way of understanding.
I found myself wishing that I was in rooms where everyone was up to date. But I was really aware that it was really hard to stay up to date on specific topics AND do your job. I found myself explaining news products like Twitter and half the group glazing over. And you know what, they were right to do so.
So, I set out to build a news product for the business user. I have built this for people that USE the news instead of just reading it. I have put the user in the middle of all our ideas and set out to provide a tool so you can carry on business at the speed of thought. (That is the title of one of my favourite business books.)

What We Are Doing
We believe that information leads to knowledge and that knowledge leads to action. We were looking for a better way to find just news and then to save articles and save our search queries so we could be more efficient at building knowledge. There are definitely a lot of search engines out there that focus on bringing you everything. Linkboard is a way only focused on news and helping you stay ahead.
To launch, we have created features like the search engine just for news and the ability to sign up and save your search queries into groups and folders.
Who We Are
Our background is running a creative digital agency where we developed strategy, sites, apps and media programs for some of the biggest brands in the world. We had a great time doing that and it was just time for a change. We really love making things for end users so now we invest in companies and applications that make life easier from a warehousey office in New York City.
